This privacy policy explains how the PRS Shot Timer mobile application ("the app", "we") handles information. The app is published by EX Corporation Oy ("the developer").
PRS Shot Timer has no accounts and no servers. We do not collect, receive, or transmit any personal data. Everything the app records — runs, video, audio, and readings from connected accessories — is stored only on your own device, and leaves it only if you explicitly choose to save or share it.
None. The app has no sign-up and no login. It does not send us any personally identifiable information, contact details, location, advertising identifiers, analytics, crash reports, or usage data.
The app writes the following to private storage on your device:
All of this stays on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere, and it is removed when you delete the run or uninstall the app.
The app listens to the microphone to detect the sound of shots so it can time them. When you are not recording video, audio is analysed in real time and is not written to storage. When you are recording video, the audio is saved to your device alongside the video, as described above. In neither case does the app transmit audio off your device.
The camera is used only to record your own runs, at your request, and video is written to the app's private storage. Access to your photo library is used in exactly two ways, both of which you start: saving a clip you chose to export, and opening a video you chose to import. The app does not otherwise browse, scan or read your photo library.
The app uses Bluetooth to connect to supported shooting accessories — the EO Digital Level and the FX Pocket Chronograph Pro — and reads rifle cant and muzzle velocity from them. Those readings are stored with your run on your device. The app does not use Bluetooth to scan for, identify or track people or places, and it connects to nothing other than these accessories.
The Android version declares the location permissions ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION and ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION. Android itself requires these before an app may discover Bluetooth accessories on older Android versions; they are not present because the app wants your location.
The app never asks for location permission, never reads your location, and never stores or transmits it. On Android 12 and newer its Bluetooth scan is declared with the neverForLocation flag, which tells the system that scan results must not be used to derive location.
Exporting or sharing a clip is always something you start. When you do, the app hands the file to your device's own share sheet or photo library, and what happens after that is governed by wherever you choose to send it. Nothing is shared automatically or in the background.
The app does not make network calls to servers operated by the developer, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. The only network activity it can cause is when you tap a "Learn more" link on the supported-hardware screen, which opens a manufacturer's website in your normal browser. Standard operating-system connections — such as those Apple and Google use for app updates and crash reporting — are governed by their own privacy policies.
| Permission | Why the app asks |
|---|---|
| Microphone | Detect shots by sound; record the run's audio when filming. |
| Camera | Record video of your run, when you choose to. |
| Photo library | Save a clip you exported; open a video you selected. |
| Bluetooth | Connect to the EO Digital Level and FX Pocket Chronograph Pro. |
| Location (Android only) | Declared because Android requires it for Bluetooth scanning. Never requested, read or stored. |
The app is built with the open-source Flutter framework and standard Apple and Google platform libraries. It does not embed third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and it does not share data with any third party.
The app is a sport-shooting timer intended for adult users. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, export or erase on request. You are in full control of what is on your device: delete individual runs in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all of it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects how the app handles information, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note it in the app's release notes.
